Times and Seasons

by vernsanders on March 2, 2012

For those actually following this blog, you’ll know that I had a little scary medical procedure a week ago yesterday. Not fun for me. Times and Seasons.

I had what was essentially a lost day afterwards. Blurry. Times and Seasons.

I had a couple of days over the weekend to “recover” (how does one ever recover when their body has been invaded by a medical machine?). Thinking and reflection. Times and Seasons.

I have a follow up with my doctor next week to figure out why the procedure found nothing, and how to explain the symptoms. Waiting. Times and Seasons.

I have been back to work on a “regular schedule” (that’s hard for me, because like many musicians, I don’t actually have one of those) since Monday. Very productive and focused. Times and Seasons.

I have been amazed by the support and care of family and friends leading up to, during, and after the procedure. Gratitude. Times and Seasons.

Looking at any life from a “big picture” viewpoint, there are ups and downs. Good times and bad times. Productive seasons and wasted seasons. Normal (whatever that is…). Times and Seasons.

What kind of time and season are you in right now? Let me know below.

Hi Vern, We are in our own season of healing right now — I have been caregiver all month with our daughter hospitalized for 8 days (major infection, still on IV antibiotics) and then the week after that the husband had bypass surgery (BIG surprise to all). Now we are recovering. Healing. Times and seasons… and hope you heal too.

Fortunately mine was only an angiogram, which is (relatively speaking) nothing compared to bypass suregery. Everything seems to be fine, although I’ll know more after my follow up next week.
