Ok…to put this in perspective, Jon Carroll is one of my favorite writers. His columns appear in the San Francisco Chronicle, and, if you read them, you either are a fan of his cat columns, or not…(but that’s another story).
The paragraph in question is toward the bottom…the Stella 2004 award winner (in quotes)…but it is worth it to read the rest to get the context. Enjoy!

I used to read Jon Carroll a terrifyingly long time ago when I lived in the Bay Area. This gave me a good laugh. Glad to know he’s still writing for the Chronicle. Thanks.
